Can I serve alcohol to my clients at my hair salon?
I own a hair salon. Can I serve alcohol to my clients without a liquor license? I'm in California.
A conditional use permit may be required if alcohol is to be consumed on the premises. Additionally, in order to comply with the California Alcohol and Beverage Control (ABC) regulations, all wine must be consumed in a separate area with a physical barrier to exclude minors or minors must be prohibited from entering the place of business. There are no such requirements for serving beer. If you, as the owner/operator of the salon, wish to offer hair and other beauty services to minors, it will be necessary to designate a specific area with physical barriers for all consumption of wine. Chairs and a serving area could be designated with a barrier in a portion of the salon. All employees would need to be trained in the requirements of beer and wine sales to customers to ensure that all ABC regulations are met and that alcohol is not served to minors.Check out the following links for more information and clarity:http://www.abc.ca.gov/http://www.abc.ca.gov/forms...http://www.ehow.com/how_451...Hope that helps.
